Not all races go to plan right? And lead up to Luxembourg 70.3 was not exactly how it should have been. 2 weeks prior to race day and Mister Taxi driver pulls out in front of me in the last 100m of 120km ride... up until then I felt tip-top, today’s bike legs given me uber confidence for the race ahead…alas it was not to be,
The Build Up All I can say is – WOW. This race lived up to its reputation, and then some. As somewhat new kid on the block when it comes to ironman distance triathlons, this absolutely has to be a race that you enter. The whole experience is just incredible. From the way that Roth welcomes the athletes, to the organisation, the sense of excitement at the expo and OMG the crowds on race day. OMG! You have never seen anything like it. Take Ironman South Africa and multiply this by 50. I have never experienced anything like it. I still get goose bumps just thinking of it
