Catching up with Raynard

News Index

If you’re curious as to what has been happening in Raynard’s life since the IM in Roth, you’ll be pleased to know that everything is back on track with his training for 2009.

The reason being that he took a much deserved rest, which allowed his injuries some much needed recovery time.

He had also been doing some mountain bike races, the last one being the Longmore Forest one.

He won this race, but also had quite a bad crash, injuring his knee.

I’m glad to say though that he seems to have recovered well, and has got nearly 6 weeks of easy base training behind him now.

He has decided not to race IM W Australia this year, and his goals will be first the 70.3 in East London, followed by IMSA in April.

The focus for the rest of this year will be on strengthening and base. He may take part in Jailbreak, purely as a training race though.

Hawaii is also definitely on the cards for 2009.
